Warcraft III
Warcraft III is by
far better than the previous ones. Blizzard made sure there were no
little bugs in the game. The “problem” in this one is
that spirits are unleashing hell upon all the races, and one guy that
screwed up a long time ago is trying to make everyone unite and defeat
the spirits. It goes much in the style of the previous ones,
Age of the Empires, Starcraft, and Tiberian Sun games. You build items,
an army, and then kill people, if you are in a multiplayer mode. It also
has a pretty cool single player
game too. You perform missions, starting with the Orcs (there are four
races Orcs, Humans, Night Elves, and Undead), and then after you beat
a couple of missions with them, you progress to the humans, but still
following on the same storyline. In single player, you can create heroes,
which are “super dudes” that have a unique experience/leveling
system. Every time they kill someone, if the thing they kill has a higher
level than them, they gain a certain amount of experience. When the hero
levels, he can learn a new spell, such as a healing spell or an attack
spell. Heroes can also pick up items that make him stronger or he can
use it on another person. And then there is the Battlenet. Finally, somebody
has gotten a Battlenet right for this type of game. In all the other
games I have, i.e. Age of Empires games, Tiberian Sun games, etc., you
need to download plugins purchase this,
install that, its way to much work and it always ends up screwing up
my comp and not working anyway. In Warcraft, you click Battlenet; enter
your email, name, login name, password, and
your done. Now you can login and play all kinds of other people. You
can choose your race, whether you want it to be 1-1, 2-2, every man for
him/herself. It’s quick and easy. I love it.
The graphics in the game are pretty
good, and right before each level is a movie that has incredible graphics.
It looks nearly real, except
you can tell it’s not quite. The storyline makes sense; it progresses
correctly in a way that makes sense
even to stupid old me. |
